Samsung and Blubox team up

Samsung Electronics UK Ltd has allied with BluBox Ltd, offering a free version of the award-winning software BluBox 5.0 with every Samsung camera purchased. The BluBox application quickly and easily compresses digital images without affecting digital or print quality, making it much easier to manage photos. Steve Mitchell, general marketing manager, Samsung Digital Imaging says: “We’re very pleased to offer all Samsung customers the BluBox software. It’s the ideal companion to a new digital camera as it makes sharing great images with family and friends simple and easy.”

Usually retailing at £19.95, Samsung and BluBox are offering this software complimentary to all consumers who purchase specific Samsung cameras from retail partners until 31 December 2010.

Here’s what you can expect from the software:

Share
In the time it takes to upload just one photo, an entire BluBox archive can be uploaded and emailed. BluBox works with all email applications including Hotmail, AOL Mail, YahooMail and Gmail making it quick and easy to share photos with family and friends.

Secure
Every time a BluBox archive is created, all photos are BluBox secured with government-standard 256-AES encryption. Archives can even be password protected to ensure only authorised people can view or share the images.

Store
BluBox uses the very latest image compression techniques to ensure there is no loss of image quality. Images can be compressed by up to 95 per cent, which means hard drives, USB flash drives or CDs/DVDs can store up to 20 times more images than usual.

*Free to download with any purchase of a PL100, PL150, ES70, ES75, NX10, EX1, WB2000 or WB600. Offer valid until 31/12/10
