Leeds, England: (June 24 2009) Global creative agency ATTIK (www.attik.com) are proud to announce an alliance with Virgin Atlantic in the launch of ‘vtravelled’ an inspirational new travel site.
As vtravelled.com’s design partner, ATTIK created a rich and expressive design language that reflected the idea of dreaming, sharing and planning travel, which was central to the vtravelled.com concept.
ATTIK drew inspiration from the international language of travel to create an experience that was both familiar and engaging as ATTIK Co-Founder and Group Creative Director James Sommerville explains:
“Our objective with vtravelled.com was to create a visual identity which cut through the online travel sector clutter. We felt the design resonated with and engaged travellers who are knowledgeable and passionate about travel. In order to reinforce the fun side of travel, we created an icon language that visually directs users in a simple and graphic way without the need for too many words and written instructions.”
Lysette Gauna, Creative Director of vtravelled.com said: “We saw an area where travellers were being very poorly served and we like to make it our mission wherever possible to make travel more fun and inspiring. It is a huge advantage working with ATTIK who have fantastic experience in this area. Together I believe we have developed some must have tools for travellers and as the community grows they will help us shape and refine the offering.”
