If you have edited the photo and just want to show what the original looked like alongside the edited version, that is fine. It would be even better if you say where you got the photo from!
By personal use, we mean that the free content cannot be used in any commercial project, so you wouldn’t be able to use the photo in a design that you were getting paid for or in projects that promote a company or service.

Can you define “commercial use” for me? If I use a photo to make a background to put in a scrap kit that I intend to sell to other scrappers, is this what you consider commercial? This is what I thought it meant, but after reading your description, I’m not sure now.
Also, what if I use it in a kit that I am going to give away for free? Thanks for clarifying this for me.
